Meryl Picard is a dedicated leader, community advocate, and economic development professional serving as Director of the Eastern Sierra Business Resource Center, where she works to support entrepreneurs, small businesses, and community development initiatives throughout the Eastern Sierra. She is also the Secretary/Treasurer of the Bishop Paiute Tribal Council, bringing extensive experience in tribal governance, community engagement, and strategic leadership. Throughout her career, Meryl has focused on building partnerships, developing future leaders, and creating opportunities that strengthen both tribal and rural communities. She has led initiatives supporting entrepreneurship, workforce development, youth engagement, leadership training, and economic resilience across the region. Her work bridges the interests of tribal nations, local governments, nonprofit organizations, and business leaders to advance meaningful and lasting community impact. Meryl is the founder of Tribal Strong LLC and has contributed her expertise as a speaker and panelist at regional and national events focused on leadership, tribal engagement, economic development, and community well-being. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Montana and is passionate about servant leadership, collaboration, and empowering others to lead with purpose.
