Nate Greenberg has more than 25 years of experience working in county government, during which time he has focused on improving access and delivering high-quality public service. Nate graduated with an interdisciplinary degree from UC Davis which blended public policy, environmental science, the use of technology (specifically Geographic Information Systems (GIS)) to effectively communicate complex topics and improve decision making. After running a small consulting business for several years, Nate began working full-time for Mono County. During his 22-year tenure there, Nate served in various leadership roles in Information Technology including GIS Coordinator, broadband development & special projects manager, and more than a decade as Information Technology Director. In 2022, Nate was recruited by Inyo County to serve as County Administrative Officer – a position which he held with a great deal of honor until September 2025. Though no longer immediately involved in public service, Nate is as deeply committed to community as ever. In 2025, Nate formed Throughline Ventures with the objective of further giving back to and supporting local public sector organizations and employees through a variety of core skills, including leadership development. Outside of this endeavor, Nate works as a Community Ambassador for Arc’teryx – a position that is aimed at further supporting the communities of the Eastern Sierra through educational events, art, and conversation. Perhaps most importantly, Nate is a husband and proud parent of a four- and seven-year-old, and when he’s not trying to juggle it all, loves to ski, bike, climb, and otherwise enjoy the amazing Sierra Nevada Mountains he gets to call home.
